The Langara EA student is expected to set up dates for the midpoint and final evaluation with their school supervisor (and to inform the EA mentor of the date and time)​.
Langara practicum supervisors conduct their first visit between Friday of the first week of practicum, and Friday of the second week of practicum. Langara practicum supervisors can attend sooner and more frequently if requested. ​
The Langara practicum supervisor may or may not be able to attend the midpoint evaluation and final evaluations (if requested) but will gather information from school teams during their visits. If you have any concerns about the Langara EA student, please share it with the Langara supervisor as soon as possible. ​
Teams may conduct the evaluation process in a variety of ways: ​
The resource teacher (or program teacher or administrator) may survey staff members about student performance.
The support team in collaboration with the student (and sometimes a Langara supervisor) may sit together and complete it .  ​
The EA mentor may participate in the evaluation under the supervision of a classroom teacher or resource teacher or administrator.​
The Langara EA student should be encouraged to contribute reflections and examples of practice.
